DON’T DIE NOW, PLEASE

Uk has many of them along the motorways. They are called SERVICES..These are positioned along the highways, so that people who are driving their precious families and goods can take regular breaks.
They are driving long distances. They need regular breaks.
The matchstick sets others ablaze , then it dies off.
I have been considering what fate the matchstick has. What is the point? Why make others life better but lose yourself in its process? Whilst it has the fire on it, everything it touches catches fire.
The worry is that the matchstick does not even realise that it is burning out. It’s still glowing on one end till the very end.
It’s not right and it’s not godly, but we don’t even realise what is happening.
During the recently completed TPJ MUMS ONLINE PRAYERS we raised a crucial prayer point. That God will disconnect us from every ministerial appointments and engagements that may be depriving us from raising our children to God’s standard.
Ministers of the gospel often forget what is really important. We forget to take care of our own personal space.
Women are even worse….we take care of everyone……and dont remember that the candle is burning.
Lets see what Jesus did in His own time. …
Jesus has been travelling with his disciples. It got to a point when Jesus got tired . He sent his disciples to get food whilst He waited by a well.
Being the leader, you would expect Jesus to tell the WEAK DISCIPLES who have been carrying the luggages and managing the crowd at the crusades, to rest , whilst he gets them food.
JESUS RECOGNISED HE MUST HAVE EXHAUSTED HIMSELF. He took a break .
JESUS THE SON OF GOD TOOK A BREAK! He had the power to raise the dead , but He took a break.
During the break, Jesus expected to be refreshed.
John 4:4-8 MSG
Jacob’s well was still there. Jesus, worn out by the trip, sat down at the well. It was noon. A woman, a Samaritan, came to draw water. Jesus said, “Would you give me a drink of water?” (His disciples had gone to the village to buy food for lunch.)
Women are used to carrying the weight of the whole world on their head and shoulders. When there is nothing to do, we worry that we are still leaving something undone.
Whilst Jesus was resting and waiting for water and rejuvenation, there were still people who were ill and hungry . They needed help at that minute , but He who had been watering others needed watering.
The soul that watereth will be watered. What about if they refuse to be watered.
When Elijah was set in his tasks as a prophet of the most High, at a point , the Lord presented a meal for him and advised him to eat ; the journey ahead was tasking.
God provided energy for the road ahead.
1 Kings 19:3-9 MSG
When Elijah saw how things were, he ran for dear life to Beersheba, far in the south of Judah. He left his young servant there and then went on into the desert another day’s journey. He came to a lone broom bush and collapsed in its shade, wanting in the worst way to be done with it all—to just die: “Enough of this, God ! Take my life—I’m ready to join my ancestors in the grave!” Exhausted, he fell asleep under the lone broom bush. Suddenly an angel shook him awake and said, “Get up and eat!” He looked around and, to his surprise, right by his head were a loaf of bread baked on some coals and a jug of water. He ate the meal and went back to sleep. The angel of God came back, shook him awake again, and said, “Get up and eat some more—you’ve got a long journey ahead of you.” He got up, ate and drank his fill, and set out. Nourished by that meal, he walked forty days and nights, all the way to the mountain of God, to Horeb.
Elijah had worked so much , stretched and stressed out to the point of contemplating suicide!!!!! Ha!!!!!
You need energy for the road ahead.
Sisters in the ministry, please don’t be on call all the time. Dont be the one who has answers to everyone without fail. You don’t have to be the deliverer for everyone, or you will soon become irrelevant.
Pastor’s wife , choose an US time, away from you and pastor ministering to everyone , get recharged. God who called you will arrange a cover for you during absence.
God owns the flock , not you, a caretaker who dies taking care will be replaced..
When you find that you are struggling. STOP.
When you find yourself irritable. PAUSE
When its all coming from the head rather than the heart. ….YOU ARE USING RESERVE.
It’s time for a fill-up.
When you are resting, the world sees it as being weak, don’t let them put you on a pedestal that will destroy you. You are human……
God wants you to operate in the physical form, and He gave you residence in your body. Without the body, your spirit has finished and must return hometo the maker.
Take care of yourself .
Taking a break is not a sign of rest….WELL RESTED LABOURERS LAST LONGER.
